Job summary

SLS Consultants is seeking a Senior Construction Manager, Base Build, to lead a high-profile hyperscale data center program in Oklahoma. This on-site role requires seasoned executive-level oversight as the owner's representative.

You will guide design reviews, constructability assessments, procurement strategies, and multi-campus delivery, mentoring the project team and driving cost control, schedule, and quality across campuses.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience leading hyperscale data center base build projects.
• Proven track record at Project Executive, Project Director, or senior construction leadership level.
• Strong cost control, GMP review, and procurement strategy skills.
• Experience managing multiple large-scale campus developments.

• Support executive reporting and strategic recommendations to client leadership.
• Oversee multiple concurrent programs while maintaining standards.

We are currently seeking a Senior Construction Manager, Base Build to join a high-profile hyperscale data center program in Oklahoma. This is a senior leadership opportunity for a seasoned construction executive who can serve as the owner's representative and trusted advisor across a multi-campus development. You will act as the eyes and ears of the client, providing strategic oversight of design, cost, constructability, procurement, and execution while helping build and mentor the project team. This role is best suited for a Project Executive or Project Director-level professional looking for a path toward Associate Director leadership. The position requires direct hyperscale data center experience and the ability to oversee multiple large-scale campus developments simultaneously.

Core Responsibilities

• Serve as the owner's representative, providing strategic oversight across multiple hyperscale data center base build projects.

• Lead GMP reviews in partnership with Cost Management teams to ensure scope, pricing, and project controls alignment.

• Review contractor bids, leveling analyses, and procurement strategies to support informed client decisions.

• Provide executive-level oversight of constructability, design reviews, and preconstruction planning.

• Drive accountability across general contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders.

• Establish project delivery strategies that support schedule, budget, quality, and operational objectives.

• Lead, mentor, and develop Construction Managers and project teams across the campus program.

• Identify project risks early and implement mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle.

• Support executive reporting and provide strategic recommendations to client leadership.

• Oversee multiple concurrent building programs while maintaining consistency in project execution and standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Extensive experience leading hyperscale data center base build construction projects.

• Proven background operating at the Project Executive, Project Director, Senior Construction Manager, or equivalent leadership level.

• Strong experience reviewing GMPs, contractor pricing, bid leveling, and cost control strategies.

• Demonstrated success managing large-scale campus developments and multiple concurrent projects.

• Deep understanding of construction delivery, preconstruction, constructability reviews, and owner representation.

• Experience developing and leading high-performing project teams.

• Exceptional stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
