Job summary

Lennar is seeking a Safety & Environmental Manager to oversee the implementation of Lennar Environmental Management System (LEMS) and IIPP across divisions. You will provide guidance to Division Environmental Managers and coordinate with Regional Leaders and regulatory agencies to ensure safety, SPCC, stormwater, and air quality compliance, with emphasis on training and audits.

The role requires strong writing, organizational skills, and a proactive approach to reduce regulatory risk.

Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years’ experience in construction technology, or environmental management/engineering, or industrial hygiene, or related field experience.
• High school diploma or GED required but will accept equivalent work experience
• Valid driver’s license
• Must obtain California Qualified SWPPP Practitioner (QSP) certification within 6 months of hire
• Must complete 30 OSHA outreach training within 120 days of hire
• Must obtain basic first aid certification within 120 days of hire
• Must have strong writing and organizational skills; Detail oriented
• Team player with strong work ethic

Responsibilities

• Ensure the division’s implementation of the LEMS including the stormwater, air quality, environmental due diligence, and SPCC modules.
• Possess working knowledge with Cal/OSHA safety regulations, air quality regulations, and stormwater permits.
• Interact with the Regional Environmental Manager and Regional Safety Manager regularly.
• Regularly assist the Division Environmental Managers to achieve safety and regulatory compliance.
• Manage the preparation and processing of SWPPP, NOI, NOC and NOC changes for stormwater permits.
• Coordinate and deliver LEMS training to associates and trade partners.
• Assist REM with SWPPP implementation audits and corrective actions.
