Job summary

Superior is seeking a Construction Safety Coordinator for Indianapolis, Indiana to ensure on-site safety across multiple project teams. The role reports to the Safety Manager and is based on a jobsite in Indianapolis with overtime eligibility.

The candidate will maintain safe conditions, assist with accident investigations, and support emergency response. Requirements include OSHA 10-hour training, First Aid/CPR, and safety experience in construction or related field.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of safety experience in construction, OR 5 years on a commercial construction site, OR a degree or apprenticeship in related field.
• First Aid/CPR certification is required.
• Completion of OSHA 10-hour construction training is required.
• OSHA 30-hour construction training is a bonus.
• A safety credential from BCSP (e.g., CHST) or working toward certification is a bonus.
• Electrical construction experience is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Field Operations, Project Operations, general contractor, and trade partners on the jobsite.
• Assist with collecting safety records after trainings.
• Document injuries, incidents, and near misses.
• Sign daily hazard and mitigation assessment paperwork.
• Monitor large construction sites for regulatory compliance.
• Complete safety audits and daily activity reports.
• Stay updated on safety policies and standards.

Reports to: Safety Manager

Location: Indianapolis, Indiana

Pay Range: $32.00 - $45.00 per hour (Eligible for overtime)

Superior is looking for a Construction Safety Coordinator to ensure that every team member on our job sites is safe and secure. The Safety Coordinator will maintain safe conditions for people and property, assist with investigating accidents, and support emergency response. This role is based on a jobsite in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate across the jobsite with Field Operations and Project Operations team members, as well as the general contractor and other trade partners
• Assist with the collection of safety records following training sessions
• Document all injuries, incidents, and near misses
• Sign daily paperwork to verify proper hazard and mitigation assessment
• Monitor large construction sites and enforce compliance with government rules & regulations
• Complete audits and daily reports describing activities completed, issues, etc.
• Stay up-to-date with safety policies and trends, i.e. meeting the latest safety standards and establishing new ones from time-to-time as newer risks are discovered
• Attend all safety meetings on the job sites

Your Expertise

• Required: You have at least 1 year of safety experience in construction, OR 5 years of field/project experience on a commercial construction site, OR a degree in Occupational Health and Safety (or completed an apprenticeship program)
• Required: You have a First Aid/CPR certification
• Required: You have completed the OSHA 10-hour construction training course
• Bonus Points: You have completed the OSHA 30-hour construction training course
• Bonus Points: You have a safety credential through the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (e.g., CHST) or are actively working toward certification
• Bonus Points: You have electrical construction experience
