Job summary

Superior is seeking a Construction Safety Coordinator to ensure safe conditions on job sites and support incident investigations. The role is based on a jobsite in Jeffersonville, Ohio.

You will collaborate with Field Operations, Project Operations, and the general contractor to enforce safety standards and maintain compliance with regulations. A strong background in construction safety and relevant certifications are required or strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of safety experience in construction, OR 5 years of field/project experience on a commercial construction site, OR a degree in Occupational Health and Safety (or completed an apprenticeship program).
• First Aid/CPR certification is required.
• OSHA 10-hour construction training is required.
• OSHA 30-hour construction training is a bonus.
• Safety credential through BSC(CP) or actively pursuing certification is a bonus.
• Electrical construction experience is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate across the jobsite with Field Operations and Project Operations team members, as well as the general contractor and other trade partners.
• Assist with the collection of safety records following training sessions.
• Document all injuries, incidents, and near misses.
• Sign daily paperwork to verify proper hazard and mitigation assessment.
• Monitor large construction sites and enforce compliance with government rules & regulations.
• Complete audits and daily reports describing activities completed, issues, etc.
• Stay up-to-date with safety policies and trends and help establish new safety standards.
• Attend all safety meetings on the job sites.

Location: Jeffersonville, Ohio

Pay Range: $32.00 - $45.00 per hour (Eligible for overtime)

Superior is looking for a Construction Safety Coordinator to ensure that every team member on our job sites is safe and secure. The Construction Safety Coordinator position will maintain safe conditions for people and property, assist with investigating accidents, and support emergency response. This role is based on a jobsite in Jeffersonville, Ohio.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate across the jobsite with Field Operations and Project Operations team members, as well as the general contractor and other trade partners
• Assist with the collection of safety records following training sessions
• Document all injuries, incidents, and near misses
• Sign daily paperwork to verify proper hazard and mitigation assessment
• Monitor large construction sites and enforce compliance with government rules & regulations
• Complete audits and daily reports describing activities completed, issues, etc.
• Stay up-to-date with safety policies and trends, i.e. meeting the latest safety standards and establishing new ones from time-to-time as newer risks are discovered
• Attend all safety meetings on the job sites

Your Expertise

• Required: You have at least 1 year of safety experience in construction, OR 5 years of field/project experience on a commercial construction site, OR a degree in Occupational Health and Safety (or completed an apprenticeship program)
• Required: You have a First Aid/CPR certification
• Required: You have completed the OSHA 10-hour construction training course
• Bonus Points: You have completed the OSHA 30-hour construction training course
• Bonus Points: You have a safety credential through the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (e.g., CHST) or are actively working toward certification
• Bonus Points: You have electrical construction experience
