Job summary

Superior is seeking a Construction Safety Coordinator to ensure on-site safety across multiple job sites in Jeffersonville, Ohio. The role reports to the Safety Manager and manages safety records, incident documentation, and compliance with regulations.

This is a full-time, on-site position with overtime eligibility. The ideal candidate holds OSHA 10 (and preferably OSHA 30), First Aid/CPR certification, and has construction safety experience or a related degree.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year safety experience in construction, OR 5 years on a commercial site, OR a degree in Occupational Health and Safety.
• First Aid/CPR certification is required.
• OSHA 10-hour construction training completed.
• OSHA 30-hour construction training is a bonus.
• BCSP safety credential (e.g., CHST) or pursuing certification is a bonus.
• Electrical construction experience is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate across the jobsite with Field Operations and Project Operations teams, the general contractor, and other trade partners.
• Assist with collection of safety records following training sessions.
• Document all injuries, incidents, and near misses.
• Sign daily paperwork to verify hazard and mitigation assessments.
• Monitor large construction sites and enforce compliance with government rules and regulations.
• Complete audits and daily reports describing activities, issues, etc.
• Stay up-to-date with safety policies and establish new standards as newer risks are discovered.
• Attend all safety meetings on the job sites.

Superior is looking for a Construction Safety Coordinator to ensure that every team member on our job sites is safe and secure. The Construction Safety Coordinator position will maintain safe conditions for people and property, assist with investigating accidents, and support emergency response. This role is based on a jobsite in Jeffersonville, Ohio.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate across the jobsite with Field Operations and Project Operations team members, as well as the general contractor and other trade partners


• Assist with the collection of safety records following training sessions


• Document all injuries, incidents, and near misses

Your Expertise

• Required: You have at least 1 year of safety experience in construction, OR 5 years of field/project experience on a commercial construction site, OR a degree in Occupational Health and Safety (or completed an apprenticeship program)


• Required: You have a First Aid/CPR certification


• Required: You have completed the OSHA 10-hour construction training course


• Bonus Points: You have completed the OSHA 30-hour construction training course


• Bonus Points: You have a safety credential through the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (e.g., CHST) or are actively working toward certification


• Bonus Points: You have electrical construction experience
