Job summary

Turner & Townsend in Austin, TX is seeking a Risk Manager for large-scale construction projects. You will lead risk identification, quantify risk exposure, and inform investment planning while coordinating with cost and schedule control teams.

The role requires strong communication, FTA risk procedure knowledge, and experience with Procore PMIS, Oracle or Bluebeam. On-site work with client interaction is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of applicable experience in program management or controls.
• Deep knowledge of FTA risk procedures and risk mitigation techniques.
• Strong communication, analytical and negotiation skills.
• Understanding of construction contracts and commercial models.
• Familiarity with ARM, Predict, and Tableau tools.

Responsibilities

• Maintain visibility of risk trigger points for budget and contingency management.
• Conduct quantitative risk assessment (cost and schedule) for projects.
• Produce timely risk reports for communication to stakeholders.
• Lead development of risk management plans and processes per client requirements.
• Collaborate with program controls, cost and schedule teams to improve processes.
• Manage risk across multiple projects/programs and support arbitration and disputes if needed.
• Support supplier performance and contract claims management as required.
