Job summary

Mortenson is seeking a Risk Analyst to provide analytical support in all areas of Risk Management and to focus on the company-wide risk profile. The role involves collaborating with operations, legal and project teams to identify and mitigate risks across the business.

Responsibilities include assisting with risk identification, supporting estimating and project teams with insurance and surety needs, reviewing contracts for risk provisions, and negotiating terms with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of risk management or insurance experience.
• Ability to identify, manage and mitigate risk using risk management principles.
• Strong math and financial analysis skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication; able to work cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Assist with identifying, analyzing and managing risks across Mortenson's operations.
• Support estimating and project teams with insurance and surety needs.
• Review and negotiate contracts to identify risk provisions and support negotiations.
• Evaluate bid documents for risk-related provisions in RFQs/ RFPs.
• Provide pricing and placement for liability insurance, builder's risk, surety bonds and subcontractor default insurance.
• Offer ongoing risk management support to operating groups.
• Collaborate with legal and operational leaders to manage and mitigate risks.
• Build relationships across diverse backgrounds and levels.
