Job summary

Mortenson is seeking a Risk Manager to oversee the corporate insurance program and risk management activities with emphasis on risk identification, transfer, and retention strategies. The role requires advanced collaboration with project teams, brokers, and carriers to negotiate terms and ensure comprehensive coverage across Casualty, Professional, Pollution, and Builder's Risk/Property lines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum five years' experience in risk management or insurance industry.
• Contract review and negotiation experience.
• Experience with a corporate insurance program including Casualty, Professional, Pollution and Builder's Risk/Property insurance.
• Insurance designations preferred.
• Construction industry knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the corporate insurance program, renewal process, and interactions with brokers and insurers.
• Lead review and placement of insurance policies on project basis.
• Develop and maintain relationships with brokers and carriers.
• Assist leadership in review and negotiation of owner agreements, design agreements, subcontracts, leases, etc.
• Oversee corporate risk management team providing daily project support.
• Oversee risk analysis, pricing, and placement for new project pursuits.
• Support corporate initiatives and risk management processes.
• Lead and coach team members and manage performance.
