Job summary

Ingles Markets, Inc. is seeking a Risk Management Analyst to assist the Director of Risk Management in administering our risk programs and supporting systems. This hybrid role requires in-office work weekly and focuses on data-driven risk controls.

The ideal candidate will manage RMIS, analyze claims trends, and coordinate certificates of insurance while collaborating with Finance, Safety, and Operations to optimize risk transfer and premiums.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent degree in a related field required.
• Extensive experience with RMIS, Power BI, and Excel is required.
• Experience in Accounting and Financial functions preferred.
• A strong understanding of insurance coverages and policy language is required.
• Strong skills in using Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience in claim handling in a self-administered environment is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Able to adapt quickly in a dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare data for renewals to obtain favorable terms and costs.
• Act as RMIS system administrator ensuring data integrity and security.
• Analyze trends in claim data affecting cost of risk.
• Manage claim system checks and related accounts.
• Report claims activity to Finance monthly and explain drivers of trends.
• Maintain vendor certificate lists and manage insurance certificates.
• Coordinate contract management best practices.
• Oversee workers' compensation and general liability claims from report to resolution.
• Provide safety reports and support actuarial studies and premium audits.
• Ensure CMS and state reporting compliance with RMIS/vendor partners.
