Job summary

The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is seeking a Construction Recordkeeper I/II/III in Kerrville, TX. You will maintain project records, process construction documents, verify work completed, and support contract administration throughout the construction process.

Position offers on-site work in Kerrville with opportunities for on-the-job training, professional development, and serving the community through transportation improvements that enhance safety, mobility and quality of life

Qualifications

• High School Grad or Equivalent; substitutions for experience possible with related college education or technical training.
• Valid driver’s license; this position requires driving a state vehicle.
• Experience: 1 year in record keeping or related work; 4 years in record keeping or related work (level dependent).

Responsibilities

• Maintain construction project records and related paperwork; monitor compliance with state and federal laws.
• Review and modify contract documents to reflect changes; ensure accuracy before payments.
• Prepare monthly and final estimates; verify calculations against logs and forms.
• Coordinate with inspectors and contractors; train others as needed.
• Lead, assign, and monitor work of others within the area.
