Job summary

Exp Federal is seeking a Construction Quality Manager for a Denver, CO project. The role involves monitoring construction to ensure design intent is met, identifying deviations, and advising the Owner on design-impacting changes. You will coordinate RFIs/submittals and support technical reviews with the DOR and CM/Contractor.

The project runs 18–24 months starting August 2026; 10+ years of experience and ABET engineering credentials are required, with the ability to obtain a security clearance.

Qualifications

  • Must have an engineering degree from an ABET Accredited University or equivalent experience working as an electrician.
  • 10+ years of experience (prior data center and/or SCIF experience desired)
  • Ability to obtain a Security Clearance.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in work performance.

Construction Quality Manager

Salary Range: $130,500.00 To $155,500.00 Annually

Construction Quality Manager Location: Denver, CO

Exp Federal is an established full service architectural and engineering firm that provides a full range of exceptional design solutions and construction support to the federal government. Our team of professionals operates in some of the most challenging environments to provide support services to a variety of governmental agencies globally.

The Challenge:

We are seeking a Construction Quality Manager (QCM) to join our project in Denver, CO. This project is projected to start August 2026 and last 18-24 months.

Principle areas of responsibility are:
  • Monitor construction to confirm compliance with design intent
  • Identifies deviations from drawings, specifications, and basis of design
  • Advises the Owner on material deviations or design- impacting changes
  • Confirms that delegated designs remain consistent with the DOR’s intent
  • Supports or coordinates technical review of RFIs and submittals
  • Advises whether submittals appear consistent with contract documents
  • Flags items that require formal DOR review or correction
  • Tracks systemic issues (repeated RFIs, coordination gaps)
  • Perform periodic site observations
  • Document observed deviations from contract documents
  • Report findings to the Owner and DOR
  • Participate in walk-downs and punch activities in support of the DOR
  • Attend construction coordination meetings
  • Participate in technical issue resolution discussions
  • Assist the Owner in understanding complex technical topics
  • Coordinate communication between Owner, DOR, and CM/Contractor
Required Qualifications:
  • Must have an engineering degree from an ABET Accredited University or have equivalent experience working as an electrician.

Salary Base:

This position as an Construction Quality Manager, level III has an annual base range of$130,500 - $155,500. This position is eligible for overtime in accordance with local, state, and federal requirements. The actual hourly rate is based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
