Job summary

A leading architectural and engineering firm in Denver seeks a Construction Quality Manager to oversee compliance with design intent on federal projects. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's in engineering, over 10 years of experience, and the ability to obtain a Security Clearance. Exp Federal is an established full‑service architectural and engineering firm that provides a full range of exceptional design solutions and construction support to the federal government. Our team operates in challenging environments to support various government agencies worldwide.

Construction Quality Manager (QCM)

This project is projected to start August 2026 and will last 18–24 months.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor construction to confirm compliance with design intent
  • Identify deviations from drawings, specifications, and basis of design
  • Advise the Owner on material deviations or design‑impacting changes
  • Confirm that delegated designs remain consistent with the DOR’s intent
  • Support or coordinate technical review of RFIs and submittals
  • Advise whether submittals appear consistent with contract documents
  • Flag items that require formal DOR review or correction
  • Track systemic issues (repeated RFIs, coordination gaps)
  • Perform periodic site observations
  • Document observed deviations from contract documents
  • Report findings to the Owner and DOR
  • Participate in walk‑downs and punch activities in support of the DOR
  • Attend construction coordination meetings
  • Participate in technical issue resolution discussions
  • Assist the Owner in understanding complex technical topics
  • Coordinate communication between Owner, DOR, and CM/Contractor
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET‑accredited university, or equivalent experience as an electrician
  • 10+ years of experience (prior data center and/or SCIF experience desired)
  • Ability to obtain a Security Clearance
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in work performance
Salary

Annual base range: $130,500 – $155,500. This position may be eligible for overtime per local, state, and federal requirements.
