Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Construction Quality Manager II to lead the quality control program on large or multi-phase projects, including heavy civil, industrial, or federal work under USACE or NAVFAC requirements. You supervise field inspectors and technicians and own the project QC plan.

You will run three-phase control meetings, present data to the owner's QA representative, and be responsible for every test result and nonconformance.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in construction quality control or special inspection, including 2+ years supervising inspectors.
• USACE CQM-C certificate and ICC special inspector or NICET Level III certification.
• Experience on USACE, NAVFAC, DOT, or industrial owner QA programs.
• Writes clearly and holds the line in meetings with superintendents and owner representatives.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain the project quality control plan and get it accepted by the owner or agency.
• Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up phase meetings for each definable feature of work.
• Supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians.
• Assign daily coverage and review reports.
• Run nonconformance and corrective-action process and present it in owner QA/QC meetings.
• Coordinate laboratory testing, mix design approvals, and material certifications across subcontractors.
