Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Construction Quality Manager II to run the quality control program on large or multi-phase projects, including heavy civil, industrial, or USACE/NAVFAC work, with field inspectors reporting to you. You write the project QC plan, run the three-phase control meetings, and answer for every test result and nonconformance the project produces.

You will coordinate laboratory testing, review NCRs, and lead owner QA/QC meetings.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in construction quality control or special inspection.
• 2+ years supervising inspectors.
• Experience on USACE, NAVFAC, DOT, or industrial owner quality programs.
• Writes clearly and holds the line in meetings with superintendents and owner representatives.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain the project quality control plan and get it accepted by the owner or agency.
• Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up phase meetings for every definable feature of work.
• Supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians; assign daily coverage and review reports.
• Run nonconformance and corrective-action processes and present at owner QA/QC meetings.
• Coordinate laboratory testing, mix design approvals, and material certifications across subcontractors.
