Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Construction Quality Manager II to lead the quality control program on large or multi-phase projects with strict USACE/NAVFAC quality requirements. You will write the project QC plan, run three-phase meetings, supervise inspectors, coordinate testing and certifications, and report NCRs with root-cause and corrective actions.

This role requires a valid driver’s license, presence on active job sites, and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in construction quality control or special inspection
• 2+ years supervising inspectors
• USACE CQM-C certificate
• ICC special inspector or NICET Level III certification
• Experience on USACE, NAVFAC, DOT, or industrial owner quality programs
• Writes clearly and holds the line in a room of superintendents and owner representatives

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain the project quality control plan and get it accepted by the owner or agency
• Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up phase meetings for every definable feature of work
• Supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians
• assign daily coverage and review their reports
• Run the nonconformance and corrective-action process and present it in owner QA/QC meetings
• Coordinate laboratory testing, mix design approvals, and material certifications across subcontractors
