Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Construction Quality Manager II to run the quality control program on large multi-phase projects, including heavy civil, industrial, or USACE/NAVFAC work. You will author the QC plan, lead three-phase meetings, and be responsible for all test results and nonconformances across site teams.

The role involves supervising inspectors, coordinating lab testing and certifications, and driving NCR resolution.

Qualifications

6+ years in construction quality control or special inspection.
2+ years supervising inspectors.
Experience with USACE, NAVFAC, DOT, or industrial owner QC programs.
Writes clearly and holds the line in front of superintendents and owner reps.

Responsibilities

Write and maintain the project quality control plan and gain owner/agency acceptance.
Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up phase meetings for each definable feature of work.
Supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians.
Assign daily coverage and review inspector reports.
Run nonconformance and corrective-action processes and present in owner QA/QC meetings.
Coordinate laboratory testing, mix design approvals, and material certifications across subcontractors.
