Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-driven and experienced Construction Quality Control Manager to lead the quality control function on active construction projects. In this key role, you will develop, implement, and manage quality assurance protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Your leadership will help uphold our firms standards of safety, quality, and integrity on every project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and monitor quality assurance procedures and policies aligned with applicable codes and standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections and internal audits to assess compliance and ensure corrective actions are taken where necessary.
  • Lead and support the QA/QC team in executing quality control testing and evaluations.
  • Maintain and manage all quality management documentation, including inspection reports, audit findings, and non-conformance logs.
  • Collaborate with the Contracts Department to ensure quality requirements are communicated and implemented across teams.
  • Review and approve production, quality, and engineering documentation for alignment with ISO and project-specific requirements.
  • Act as the primary liaison between the company and government or client QA representatives.
  • Monitor evolving industry standards and regulatory updates to maintain compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee and support quality-focused project management initiatives and provide leadership in problem resolution and field coordination.
Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or a related field (preferred).
  • NETTCP QAT Certification (required).
  • Proven experience in quality assurance/control management within the construction industry.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of government contract compliance and industry regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to resolve field-related challenges.
  • Experience writing clear and concise QC reports, summarizing inspections and test outcomes.
  • Ability to manage multiple aspects of quality across large-scale projects.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Flexibility to work varying schedules, including nights and weekends, as needed.
  • Must be able to reliably commute to or relocate to Enfield, CT.
