Tosca -QA Technical Testing Lead-AEROSPACE-(REMOTE)-Consultant

The QA Technical Testing Lead plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software products through comprehensive testing methodologies and team management. They are responsible for leading QA testers, coordinating testing efforts, developing test plans, executing test cases, coaching the team, and reporting results. The role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to identify and address quality issues throughout the software development lifecycle, ensuring products meet functional and non-functional requirements.

This position also involves overseeing the rollout of the Tosca Testing Tool, establishing guidelines/standards, and providing hands-on testing support using Jira Align.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of QA testers, providing guidance and feedback for high-quality deliverables.
• Mastery of JIRA Align Tool used in Agile Scrum Ceremonies.
• Coordinate daily activities, prioritize tasks, and allocate resources effectively.
• Develop comprehensive test plans and strategies based on project requirements.
• Design, create, and execute manual and automated test cases using Tosca.
• Establish and maintain QA best practices, standards, and procedures.
• Implement QA processes throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Manage defect lifecycle, ensuring issues are documented, tracked, and reported.
• Support the development of reusable test assets and automation frameworks.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to review testing requirements and acceptance criteria.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Proven 10 years’ experience in software QA and testing, with leadership in Agile Scrum environments.
• Expertise in Jira Align and Tosca Automation Tool.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Relevant certifications such as ISTQB or CSTE are a plus.

Additional Information:

The QA Testing Lead will collaborate with development, product management, and customer support teams to ensure high-quality product delivery. Preference for candidates residing within an hour of Hartford, CT. The role is primarily remote with optional in-office meetings in Glastonbury/East Hartford, CT.
