Job summary

ross Group is seeking a Quality Control Manager to oversee daily project quality control, inspect on-site work, and coordinate with the Owner’s QA representative. You will implement quality requirements from Contract Documents and supervise on-site safety practices.

You will also manage subcontractor submittals, coordinate testing, and provide weekly progress updates to ensure the project maintains schedule and quality standards. Relocation to project sites nationwide may be required.

Qualifications

• Five to ten years’ experience as a Quality Control Manager, with a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with project staff and owners.
• Ability to manage field staff, provide training, and mentor team members.
• Willingness to relocate to Ross Group project sites across the South and Midwest.”

Responsibilities

• Implement the Quality Control Plan for multi-million dollar projects.
• Coordinate with the project manager to provide quality control updates and flag issues impacting progress.
• Oversee outside testing agencies for contract compliance and proper techniques.
• Review subcontractor submittals and the submittal register.
• Order and receive needed materials and equipment.
• Lead weekly safety meetings and address safety elements relevant to quality control.
• Monitor quality and safety on site and manage punch-list items.
• Exercise delegated authority to stop work for unsafe practices.
• Direct the project engineer on critical path items to keep the schedule.
• Monitor subcontractor performance for timeliness, efficiency, and quality.
• Ensure close-out documents are complete and submitted.
