Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a QA Inspector to observe and audit construction phases for compliance with schedules, specs, and shop drawings.

The role requires diligent site inspections, detailed RMS daily reports, and coordination with the Resident Engineer and project team. The position involves preparing contract modification supports, reviewing plans and submittals, and assisting with feasibility and cost estimates.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; construction-related degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of applicable experience on large, complex federal construction projects.
• Experience using RMS 3.0 preferred.
• Experience with three-phase inspection process.
• Experience with OSHA and EM 385-1-1 USACE Safety Manual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Observes and investigates construction phases for compliance with schedules, specifications, and shop drawings.
• Performs inspections and completes daily site reports in RMS, including comments on progress, safety, and subcontractor manpower.
• Assists in contract modification processes and preparation of scopes of work for RFPs and government estimates.
• Reviews contractor plans and submittals for approval actions, schedules, safety and quality programs.
• Prepares correspondence on Contractor performance, REAs, RFIs, and other technical issues.
• Prepares partial and final payment estimates including item quantities and materials.
• Monitors progress and advises on potential slippage or delay.
• Participates in RFI and Submittal reviews and coordinates with designers and contractors.
• Logs data to assist project management and decision making.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
