Job summary

Elite Contracting Group in Petersburg, VA is seeking a Proposal Development Specialist to join our Estimating and Design team. You will support the team by preparing proposals in response to project specifications.

The role requires researching vendor materials and costs, creating clear, competitive proposals, and tracking progress to meet deadlines. A strong attention to detail and proficient MS Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to research and synthesize information from various sources.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Knowledge of physical security or electrical equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Receive project specifications from Project Estimators to determine proposal content.
• Contact vendors to determine material costs.
• Create proposals by entering project materials and costs into proposal template.
• Track and provide scheduled updates on proposal progress.
• Ensure proposals are completed on time and with accuracy.
• Maintain files and reference material.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
