Job summary

The City of Baltimore is seeking a Construction Project Supervisor I to oversee scheduling and inspection of major construction projects and to expedite the completion of contracted work.

You will supervise inspection personnel and work in office and on construction sites with exposure to noise, hazardous equipment and weather. A bachelor’s degree and three years of relevant experience plus a Maryland driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Education: bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Experience: three years of experience in construction inspection, construction supervision, construction engineering or weatherization, energy conservation work.
• Licenses: valid Maryland Class C Noncommercial driver’s license or an equivalent license and eligible to obtain Baltimore City driver’s permit.
• Provisional driver’s license or learner permits are not acceptable.
• Must upload a copy of your valid driver’s license with application.
• Background check and six-month probation required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee scheduling and inspection of major construction projects.
• Expedite completion of contracted construction and supervise inspection personnel.
