Job summary

WSP Global Inc. in Columbia, MD is seeking a Project Coordinator to join the Construction Management Team on City of Baltimore DOT projects. You will coordinate with engineers, contractors, and inspectors to keep projects on schedule and compliant with ADA standards.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and at least 1 year of construction management/inspection experience. Strong organizational skills and the ability to read roadway plans are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• 1 year of experience in construction management/inspection of highway, bridge, ramp and/or pedestrian infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of construction methods, scheduling and materials.
• Knowledge of inspection methods.
• Ability to deal effectively with contractors, engineers, architects and representatives of utility and government agencies.
• Supervisory ability.
• Working knowledge of safety, environment guidelines and regulations.
• Read and interpret roadway plans and contract specifications; maintain detailed records.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with technical staff, consultants, contractors and other agencies to expedite completion of construction projects meeting ADA standards.
• Coordinate field inspections, assign and review work, train and evaluate performance.
• Review and adjust construction schedules as needed.
• Schedule pre-construction and progress meetings.
• Coordinate with stakeholders for problem-solving during construction.
• Use computer and business software to prepare correspondence, manage workflow and maintain records.
