GPAC in the Iowa City area is seeking a Project / Purchasing Manager to lead commercial construction projects, directing purchasing, procurement, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver on time and within budget. You will manage budgets, source suppliers, negotiate terms, monitor schedules, and ensure compliance with contract documents and safety standards.

The successful candidate has a degree and 3+ years of experience in construction procurement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.
• 3+ years of experience in commercial construction project management, purchasing, or procurement.
• Strong knowledge of construction documents, procurement workflows, and project schedules.
• Experience negotiating with suppliers and managing material procurement.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial construction projects from award through closeout.
• Lead purchasing for project-related materials, equipment, and subcontracted services.
• Develop and monitor project schedules and budgets; track costs and changes.
• Maintain procurement documentation and ensure compliance with contracts and policies.
• Collaborate with estimating, engineering, accounting, and field teams to support delivery.
