Job summary

Gpac is seeking a Mechanical Construction Purchasing Agent to manage material and equipment procurement. The role involves processing orders, selecting cost-effective suppliers, and coordinating with vendors and project managers to ensure timely delivery.

You should have 3-5+ years in purchasing mechanical systems, be proficient with SAP/Oracle/ERP and Viewpoint Vista, and possess strong attention to detail and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of experience in Purchasing Plumbing, HVAC, Mechanical systems, parts.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience with SAP, Oracle, ERP systems, Viewpoint Vista, Box, ISG, and Smartsheet.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Exceptional communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Process material and equipment purchase orders daily.
• Select reliable, cost-effective suppliers.
• Enter and file purchase orders in Vista by Viewpoint.
• Work with vendors to confirm pricing and delivery.
• Reconcile and file vendor order acknowledgements.
• Collaborate with Project Managers for purchase details.
• Obtain quotes from multiple vendors as needed.
• Coordinate material deliveries with vendors and warehouse staff.
