Job summary

gpac is seeking a Project Manager to lead commercial construction projects with a focus on client satisfaction, clear direction, and accountability. The role emphasizes coordinating with estimators, design professionals, and subcontractors to drive successful project outcomes.

Ideal candidates will have a strong background in construction management, 5+ years of project leadership, and a solid understanding of building systems and cost control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience managing commercial/light industrial projects.
• Broad knowledge of building systems and construction methods.
• Strong financial management skills and the ability to independently manage all aspects of a project from start to finish.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Estimating during the Preconstruction phase.
• Read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
• Mentor less experienced Project Management staff on daily duties.
• Work with Owners, Architects, Engineers, and Subcontractors to identify future project opportunities.
• Oversee subcontractor and vendor procurement, including buyout, scope, contract writing, insurance and bonding reviews.
• Guide resolution of drawing interpretation problems, conflicts and errors.
• Manage the team handling submittals, RFIs, Change Orders, owner billings, time sheets, and vendor billings.
• Ensure timely owner billings via verified work-in-place quantities from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Verify monthly cost projections for completion.
• Oversee creation and monitoring of project schedules and progress updates.
