Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated is seeking a Construction Project Manager to lead small to medium-scale capital projects and tenant improvements in Northern California. You will independently manage scope, schedule, budget, and client communications, with support on larger initiatives.

The role requires strong financial and organizational skills, mentorship of junior staff, and travel up to 40% within the region, including Fresno and Bakersfield areas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CM, Architecture, Engineering, Real Estate, Business, or related field preferred.
• 3–5 years of progressive experience in project management or construction management with end-to-end project responsibility.
• Proven track record managing small to medium projects typically $250K–$1M with budget/schedule/quality accountability.
• Strong financial acumen including budget development, cost tracking, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; comfortable presenting to clients and executives.
• Proficiency in MS Office and scheduling tools (MS Project, Smartsheet, Procore)
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 40% within the account portfolio

Responsibilities

• Lead small to medium-scale projects independently from initiation through closeout, including scope, schedule, budget, quality, and client satisfaction.
• Develop project charters, schedules, and work breakdown structures; monitor critical path and conduct site visits.
• Procure and manage general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors; negotiate contracts and manage performance.
• Chair project meetings, prepare agendas, drive action items, and manage change orders with stakeholders.
• Develop and manage project budgets; process purchase orders and invoices; prepare monthly financial reports.
• Serve as primary client contact; build relationships, deliver status reports and presentations.
• Maintain organized project files and ensure compliance with standards and codes.
• Own defined phases or work packages; participate in design reviews and constructability assessments.
• Mentor junior team members and seek exposure to complex delivery challenges
