Job summary

Jefferson County's General Services department is seeking a Construction Project Manager to oversee renovations, infrastructure upgrades, and new builds across the jurisdiction. You will coordinate architects, engineers, contractors, and internal teams to ensure work adheres to plans, schedules, and budgets.

The role requires strong budgeting, procurement, and contract administration abilities, with oversight of multiple projects from development through closeout.

Qualifications

• Experience managing construction, renovation, or infrastructure projects.
• Experience developing or managing construction budgets.
• Experience participating in construction procurement or administering contracts.

Responsibilities

• Develops construction, renovation, and infrastructure improvement project plans by assessing site conditions and establishing project scopes, budgets, schedules, and resources.
• Manages multiple construction projects through planning, design, construction, and completion by coordinating activities and monitoring milestones.
• Oversees contractor performance by reviewing progress, ensuring compliance with plans, codes, and quality standards to identify deficiencies.
• Administers procurement documentation, evaluates bids, coordinates contractor selection, and processes payments and change orders.
• Monitors project budgets and resources, reporting expenditures and progress to management.
