Job summary

Pence Construction is seeking a Project Manager for Medical Team projects in Portland, OR. You will manage day-to-day operations, budgets, client and subcontractor relationships, and the project staff to deliver on time, on budget, and safely with high quality.

You will coordinate with Superintendents, estimators, and executives, overseeing procurement, RFI/submittals, and change management to optimize profitability and schedule adherence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Engineering Management or similar degree.
• 6+ years of applicable commercial construction management experience.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience with construction software platforms.
• At least 2 years of experience leading project teams.
• Advanced problem solving and analytical skills.
• Can work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Must be available to work flexible hours.
• Must have, or complete within six months of hire, CPR and first aid certifications and OSHA 10 training.

Responsibilities

• Manage startup activities including owner relationships, contracts, permits and insurance.
• Develop project schedules with Superintendents and identify risks in milestones.
• Control project budget, track costs and forecast projections.
• Oversee QA/QC and ensure drawings/specs are followed.
• Prepare monthly reviews and profit projections for stakeholders.
• Manage submittals, RFIs, procurement and change management processes.
• Lead weekly job meetings and ensure documentation accuracy.
• Assist in bid development and coordination with estimators for GMP work.
• Ensure safety, quality, and timely delivery on site.
