Job summary

Pence Contractors is seeking an experienced Superintendent for on-site leadership of commercial construction projects in the Portland area. You will coordinate all phases of construction, lead safety programs, and ensure project milestones are met on time and within budget.

Ideal candidates have extensive field experience, supervisory background, and strong communication skills to manage subcontractors, inspectors and project teams through complex builds. CPR/OSHA 30 credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of field construction experience.
• 5+ years in a supervisory capacity.
• In lieu of degree, commensurate experience accepted.
• CPR and first aid certifications within six months of hire.
• OSHA 30 training required.

Responsibilities

• Act as the onsite Company representative and coordinate all site activities.
• Collaborate with PM to keep phases on time and within budget.
• Review contracts from Owner/Contractor/Subcontractors and ensure compliance.
• Document site progress and prepare daily reports.
• Lead safety programs and weekly safety meetings.
• Develop and enforce project schedules; coordinate trades and deliveries.
• Oversee QA/QC and ensure quality of work meets owner expectations.
• Communicate with city officials/inspectors and manage permits.
