Job summary

RJS Construction is seeking a Project Manager to serve as the single point of contact for assigned projects. You will drive project success through leadership, technical knowledge, and disciplined scheduling while maintaining safety and compliance across sites.

The role requires a BS in construction management or a related engineering degree, and thorough understanding of trade activities, cost control, and contract modifications.

Qualifications

• Team leadership to inspire confidence and drive goals.
• Listen to customers and manage project deliverables to exceed expectations.
• Granular understanding of trade work and ability to craft written agreements within budget and schedule.
• Ability to prepare and update schedules using MS Project / P6.
• Prepare site safety plans; OSHA 30 and First Aid training required.
• Prepare site quality control plans; USACE 3 Phase QC training required.
• Lead project administrative processes for meetings, submittals, RFIs, changes, and communications.
• Utilize cost control systems to report financial status of each project.
• Administer prime contract modifications and related cost/schedule effects.
• Understand construction insurance and bonding requirements for projects.
• Resolve conflicts and disputes among project team members.
• Apply Federal Government Contracting Standards to projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee project meetings, submittals, RFIs, design changes, and communications.
• Use RJS cost control systems to report financial status of each project.
• Manage prime contract modifications and document related effects to subs, budget, and schedule.
• Understand construction insurance and bonding considerations for projects.
• Address conflicts and disputes effectively within the team.
