Job summary

RJS Construction Inc. is seeking a Project Manager to serve as the single point of contact for assigned projects. You will lead teams, manage customer expectations, and oversee technical scope, safety, quality, and administrative processes to ensure on-time, on-budget project delivery.

Qualifications

• BS in construction management or a similar engineering degree.
• Experience leading construction projects with adherence to safety standards.
• Knowledge of project scheduling and cost control processes.
• Ability to manage submittals, RFIs, and design changes.
• Familiarity with federal contracting standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• 1. Team Leadership: Proactively influence people to enthusiastically work toward common goals, mentoring and guiding the team.
• 2. Customer Service: Listen to and understand customer needs, proactively manage deliverables to exceed expectations.
• 3. Technical Knowledge: Understand trade scope, craft and negotiate written agreements within budget/schedule.
• 4. Timeline Scheduling: Prepare and update schedules using MS Project or P6 to define work sequences.
• 5. Project Safety: Prepare and administer site safety plans; OSHA 30 and First Aid training current.
• 6. Quality Control: Prepare site-specific QC plans; USACE 3 Phase QC training current.
• 7. Administrative Processes: Lead Meetings, Submittals, RFIs, design changes, and related communications.
• 8. Cost Accounting: Use RJS cost control systems to report financial status recurrently.
• 9. Change Management: Administer prime contract modifications and related effects on subs, cost, and schedule.
• 10. Insurance & Bonding: Exercise judgment on insurance and bonding needs for projects.
• 11. Conflict Management: Resolve conflicts and disputes within the project team.
• 12. Federal Government Contracting Standards: Apply standards for federal work.
• 13. BS in construction management or similar engineering degree (education requirement)
