Job summary

You will plan, organize and staff field positions, monitor budgets and schedules, liaise with clients and subcontractors, uphold safety standards, and lead teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Must have a four-year engineering degree or equivalent combination of experience and training/experience plus five or more years of construction, design, finance management experience
• Superior communication and interpersonal skills essential
• Advanced understanding of cost accounting and construction technology
• Strong organizational and supervisory abilities

Responsibilities

• Provide overall management direction for existing projects and develop new business opportunities relative to a client group or area
• Plan, organize and staff key field positions with input from senior PMs and upper management
• Establish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within company policy
• Initiate and maintain liaison with client and subcontractors to facilitate construction activities
• Monitor and control construction through administrative direction of on-site Superintendent to ensure schedule and budget compliance
• Represent the company in project meetings; assist in strategy discussions
• Manage financial aspects of contracts to protect company interests while maintaining client relations
• Supervise the work of the Superintendent and crew and the operations administrative staff
• Ensure adherence to Blum Best Practices and safety plans
• Lead by example and drive teams to be productive, trained, and safety-conscious
• Encourage challenges to improve productivity, training, and teamwork
