Job summary

DAVIS is seeking a Project Manager to support daily management and execution of construction projects. You will oversee multiple projects, coordinating with owners, design teams, and trade partners to ensure timely, on‑budget completion.

You’ll drive safety, cost control, scheduling, bidding, and contract administration while mentoring junior staff and advancing project efficiency in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent construction experience.
• General Contracting experience required.
• Minimum of four years construction experience.
• Knowledge of engineering and construction project management principles.
• Ability to learn technical systems and processes.
• Ability to lead junior team members.
• Strong multitasking and prioritization skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Experience with project management and scheduling software.
• Sustainable building experience (LEED) preferred.
• Certifications (CPR/First Aid, OSHA 30, WELL, ILFI, LEED) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates and scopes of work.
• Negotiate and issue subcontract agreements and purchase orders.
• Develop detailed project schedules with the team and vendors; update as needed.
• Lead project meetings with owners, design team, and trade partners; document follow-up.
• Enforce the DAVIS Safety program and develop safety plans and orientations.
• Manage project closeout, including checklists, punch lists, and closeout docs.
• Coordinate trades (HVAC, plumbing, life safety, controls, lighting, AV, data) and startup activities.
• Manage submittals, RFIs, change orders, and schedules.
• Maintain contract documents and as-built drawings; update drawings with RFIs/submittals.
• Oversee material procurement logistics and tracking logs.
• Prepare monthly owner invoicing and budget reporting.
• Participate in audits and post‑completion reviews.
