Job summary

Clune Construction is seeking a Project Manager to lead construction projects across the United States with HQ in Chicago, IL. You will coordinate multi-site efforts, manage budgets, oversee subcontracts, and ensure timely communication with trade partners and the design team.

The role involves RFP participation, cost control, and supporting preconstruction and client relationships while mentoring junior staff. A strong background in commercial construction and CMiC/Procore is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience must include working for a commercial construction general contractor; lab projects, estimating; documentation; owner/architect relations; cost monitoring; closeout; CMiC/Procore.
• Local travel within commuting distance to job sites asneeded

Responsibilities

• Project Managers for various and unanticipated worksites throughout the U.S. (HQ: Chicago, IL).
• Plan and coordinate the completion of construction projects including laboratory projects.
• Active participation in RFP responses, including developing presentations and participating in the pitch.
• Responsible for internal team communication flow and timely and effective communication with trade partners and the design team.
• Prepare budgets, estimates and bids, scope reviews and leveling of trade partner bids.
• Manage project cost control including monitoring general conditions and labor, monthly billing, and change pricing reviews.
• Minimize risk by ensuring subcontracts are written and executed timely.
• Ensure certificates of insurance are obtained from trade partners.
• Coordinate with superintendent, site visits to monitor progress.
• Support client retention and project goals through accurate forecasting and billings.
• Participate in business development and client relationship management. Mentor interns and engineers.

Education

Master’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Civil Engineering or related
