Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing (or recently completed) undergraduate or graduate degree in Construction Management/Engineering/Architecture or related field.
  • Strong interest in construction and renovation projects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team-oriented and reliable.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing renovation projects from start to completion.
  • Support proposal preparation, drawings coordination, material takeoffs, and cost estimates.
  • Conduct daily site visits across multiple projects.
  • Support client communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assist with file management, submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
  • Help with procurement and tracking of samples.
  • Track vendors and pricing.
  • Participate in daily and weekly project management meetings.

Construction Project Management Internship – Chapter New Jersey (NJ)
Full-Time Internship | On-Site | Immediate Start

This is an in-person role based in New Jersey. Please read carefully before applying: candidates must have a background in construction (education and/or experience). This is a 6-month, full-time internship that is intended to lead to a full-time role as an Assistant Project Manager, and subsequently a Project Manager position for the right candidate. This is not a part-time role.

About the Role

This position offers hands-on exposure to all phases of residential renovation projects and the day-to-day operations of a high-end design-build firm. It is ideal for someone looking to grow long-term in construction project management. You will work closely with experienced professionals across construction, design, and operations.

Location & Mobility Requirements
  • Position is based in New Jersey
  • Must be local to New Jersey or nearby
  • Valid driver's license and access to a car are required
  • Ability to travel between multiple active job sites daily
Internship Compensation

$2,500/month stipend

$600/month vehicle expenses reimbursement

Training & Growth

The intern will complete a training program led by Chapter New Jersey managing partner. Following training, the intern will assist across active renovation projects. A full-time position will be offered to interns who demonstrate strong performance, reliability, and growth during the internship.
