Job summary

JE Dunn is seeking a Project Manager 1 in Austin, TX to provide leadership for a project, coordinating with the Project Superintendent, design teams and subcontractors. The role focuses on safety, schedule, cost control, and collaboration across stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field and 5+ years of construction management experience, with proficiency in MS Office and scheduling

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in construction management or related field.
• 5+ years of construction management experience is expected.
• Ability to lead and coordinate across internal teams and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Leads safety culture and mentors staff to maintain an injury-free environment.
• Manages the prestart process and coordinates with preconstruction team.
• Supports quantity takeoff, trade coordination, scope development and bid activities.
• Leads buyout scheduling, verifies pricing and manages subcontracts.
• Manages submittal schedules, shop drawings and samples with architects/engineers.
• Ensures approved submittals are returned per project schedule and contract.
• Coordinates pricing with vendors and manages risk analyses of subcontractors.
• Manages change requests and communicates with subcontractors for pricing.
• Prepares project schedule with superintendent and supports Lean practices.
• Monitors costs, reports status, and supports project profitability.
