Job summary

Haskell is seeking a Project Manager I to oversee construction projects across delivery types, from assignment through completion, ensuring safety, quality, and on‑time delivery. You will coordinate with superintendents, subs, and clients while managing budgets and scope.

Ideal candidates hold a relevant engineering or construction management degree and have several years of construction management experience. The role requires strong organizational and communication skills and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management or equivalent is preferred plus three years minimum in construction management.
• Expertise in managing resources, including budgets, schedules and materials in a multi‑demand environment.
• Knowledge of estimating, construction methods, engineering, equipment and technology.
• Excellent understanding of safety procedures.
• Excellent organizational, supervisory, communication, collaboration and analytical skills.
• Ability to travel per project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Field Management, Safety, and Quality: monitor progress, enforce safety policies, ensure quality objectives.
• Document Control: manage submittals, RFIs, drawings, meeting minutes, as‑builts.
• Scheduling: plan, sequence, and schedule work with superintendent and subs; manage schedules.
• Financial Management: control project costs, invoicing, budgets, and cash flow.
• Procurement and Commitments: manage procurement strategy, bids, subcontractors, and POs.
• Estimating: prepare detailed estimates, cost codes, and cost control systems.
• Project Lifecycle Management: lead start‑up to close‑out, ensure alignment with scope and objectives.
• Scope and Change Management: report changes, secure owner acceptance of changes.
• Risk Management: identify and evaluate project risks; understand contract terms.
• Subcontractor/Vendor Management: oversee performance and documentation.
• Design Coordination: monitor design progress, ensure constructability and compliance.
• Client Relations: maintain client communications, reports, and change orders.
• Project Development: assist in responses to RFPs and proposals.
• Staffing: coordinate with construction leadership to define roles.
• Personnel Development: mentor, set expectations, and develop team members.
• Project Communications: maintain communication plans and progress reports.
• Travel as required.
