Job summary

Haskell is seeking a seasoned Construction Project Manager to lead multifaceted municipal projects and drive successful outcomes from assignment to completion. You will manage budgets, schedules and vendor relations while coordinating with design teams, site personnel and clients to deliver on commitments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management or equivalent.
• Seven years minimum in construction management.
• Extensive experience with Municipal Projects (Jails, Courthouses, Education).
• Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and materials under multiple demands.
• Knowledge of estimating, construction methods, engineering, equipment and technology.
• Strong safety, organizational, supervisory, and analytical skills.
• Willingness to travel per project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist project directors in responding to RFPs and preparing estimates, schedules and proposal documents.
• Monitor design documents progress and provide input on constructability, scope and cost changes.
• Prepare detailed estimates, cost codes and cost-control systems.
• Prepare bid packages, evaluate bids, qualify subcontractors, and award subcontracts and major purchase orders.
• Collaborate with the director of construction to establish project organization and staffing.
• Plan, sequence and schedule the project with input from superintendents and subcontractors.
• Manage project cost control and prepare labor and status reports.
• Coordinate permits, inspections and approvals with A/E.
• Maintain submittal control and expedite vendor/subcontractor submittals.
• Manage client relations, meetings, reports, change orders and inquiries.
