Job summary

Mortenson Construction is seeking an experienced Project Manager I to lead projects with professionalism and resourcefulness in a dynamic environment. You will manage project quality, timeliness, and safety, mentor the project team, and cultivate strong customer relationships through excellent service and communication.

Responsibilities include managing project financial health, leading EPC contracts, procurement, and bid/award phases, and developing financial projections.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a construction field.
• Minimum six years of related experience.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects.
• Understanding of construction law and business practices.
• Experience in commercial construction or EPC contracting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage overall financial health of projects.
• Support and lead EPC contract negotiations, including schedules.
• Lead vendor procurement and bid/award phases for major subs and suppliers.
• Develop and maintain project financial and equipment projections.
• Allocate project estimates into financial system and approve invoices.
• Provide financials and billings to accounting and owners.
• Manage subcontracts and select trade partners.
• Handle billings, contracts, and change orders.
• Develop and mentor Assistant PMs and Project Engineers.
