Job summary

Sundt Construction is seeking a senior operations leader to contribute to a cohesive Senior Management Team across the district/division and to drive profitability and project readiness from estimating through field execution.

The role oversees the profit center’s operations, including budgeting, scheduling, and subcontract/purchase order management, with emphasis on QA/QC and continuous improvement across all projects.

Qualifications

• Advanced management or technical training preferred.
• Excellent management, leadership, business and technical skills.
• Extensive experience in estimating techniques, cost control systems, building systems, scheduling, productivity analysis, construction operations and billing/cash flow methods.
• Four year engineering degree or equivalent combination of technical training and/or related experience.
• Proficient use of all Microsoft Office Suite programs.
• Ten or more years of experience in the construction of projects similar to those executed by the division/subsidiary.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain consistent administrative procedures, reports, submittals, change orders and provide documentation required to support the company project audit process.
• Ensure the accurate and timely submission of operations financial reporting for all projects.
• Manage the operations functions of the profit center and participate in Go/No Go for project selection and supervises the orderly and timely transition of projects from estimating to the field.
• Provide assistance to resolve potential problems related to construction, subcontractors, owners, architects and engineers and coordinate work with legal to prepare and timely submit active claims report.
• Oversee design review (budget vs. design), preparation of general conditions and preconstruction and construction schedules, budget review and project profitability goals, review and execution of subcontract and purchase order agreements and the coordination of purchasing plan schedule commitments.
• Implement and execute project QA/QC and Continuous Improvement programs as well as the timely closeout of all projects.
