Job summary

Shook Construction is seeking a Project Manager to lead one or more construction projects, directing schedule, budget, safety, and quality. You will mentor Project Engineers and maintain strong client relationships to ensure successful delivery.

Applicants should bring 5–10 years of construction experience, a related bachelor’s degree, and strong communication and analytical skills. The role involves on-site work, collaboration with trade partners, and ongoing project governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or similar.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Clear, concise communication skills, both written and verbal.
• A collaborative mindset and the ability to build strong client relationships.
• Willingness to represent Shook at career fairs and recruitment events.
• Commitment to staying current with emerging technologies (BIM, 3D modeling, pipe detailing, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Create and manage the project schedule.
• Participate in all preconstruction services.
• Manage and collaborate with critical trade partners.
• Drive trade partner and purchase agreement negotiations.
• Lead a project-dedicated staff, establishing roles and expectations.
• Maintain positive relationships with clients, trade partners, and vendors.
• Develop project cost structure and handle all monthly billing tied to completed work.
• Help develop and execute a project-specific safety plan.
• Develop and implement a quality control plan.
• Manage procurement process, including labor, equipment, materials, and trade partners.
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial forecasting.
• Lead the growth and development of project team members, including conducting performance reviews.
