Job summary

FlatironDragados is seeking a Project Manager in Los Angeles to lead a technically complex construction project from start to finish. You will manage the budget, coordinate personnel, and maintain the production schedule to ensure timely delivery and high quality, while aligning owner expectations with contract specifics.

You will develop the project plan, manage pay estimates and resources, address contract issues with the owner, and report monthly forecasts to leadership.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in construction, engineering or scheduling.
  • Experience in managing personnel.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field is highly regarded.
  • Valid Driver’s License required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to engage and retain relationships while delegating tasks.
  • Proven ability to identify, track and manage project risk.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office; strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees all aspects of the project, including construction, budget, and cash management.
  • Develops and manages the project schedule, pay estimates, staffing and equipment resources.
  • Assesses contracts for completeness and resolves conflicts with the owner.
  • Coordinates with project personnel to update the schedule and manage change orders.
  • Creates and presents monthly cost and revenue forecasts and reports.
  • Builds relationships with Flatiron departments and the project owner.
  • Reviews and approves media releases related to the project.
  • Acts as main contact for landowners, business owners, and government agencies.
  • Conducts daily and weekly safety checks at the project site.
  • Coordinates staffing and equipment with the project superintendent.
  • Collaborates with legal to resolve disputes.
  • Leads project closeout, finalizes paperwork, retains and closes claims.
