Job summary

FlatironDragados is seeking a Project Engineer to track and analyze cost data, ensuring projects stay on budget. You will monitor resources, analyze production, and support scheduling to keep construction on track.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of construction engineering experience, with expertise in cost accounting, scheduling, and project controls. On-site work with a comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent.
  • 5+ years construction engineering experience.
  • Knowledge of cost reporting methods and quantity tracking.

Responsibilities

  • Meet with engineering and field crews to review production schedule and confirm materials, equipment and resources.
  • Review shop drawings, design specifications, material requirements and project data.
  • Provide technical input for project work plans and scheduling.
  • Identify budget and schedule risks and mitigations to avoid delays and cost overruns.
  • Evaluate daily production, schedule, and budget projections to track performance.
  • Update project schedule weekly for owner and management reporting.
  • Prepare and manage a three-week work plan and communicate changes to teams.
  • Initiate and manage all RFIs.
  • Remit accurate project quantities using cost coding for reporting.
  • Manage invoicing with accounting for materials and subcontractors.
  • Review certificates and permits for compliance.
  • Review JHAs to ensure safety and compliance.
