Job summary

Mortenson is seeking a Project Manager I or II to lead project financials, schedule, quality and safety while mentoring the team. This role involves developing and enhancing customer relationships through excellent service.

This position offers opportunities at both levels 1 and 2, allowing candidates to apply based on their experience and qualifications. Base pay ranges vary by location and are tied to experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
• Current driver's license and ability to travel up to 100%.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects end-to-end.
• Strong attention to detail and multi-tasking abilities.
• Basic understanding of construction law and business practices.
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office and project/web tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage overall financial health of projects including subcontracts and suppliers.
• Develop and maintain project financial projections and allocate project estimates.
• Determine cost codes, approve invoices, and provide financials to Accounting for timely payment.
• Create monthly owner billings and handle contract management including buyouts.
• Oversee budget for trade partners and suppliers; lead project team.
• Approve timecards and provide feedback to on-site staff.
• Act as primary owner contact and coordinate with on-site representatives.
• Manage change orders and secure owner/architect approvals.
• Maintain schedules and budgets and ensure quality, risk, safety, and compliance.
