Job summary

Superior seeks a Project Manager to drive electrical construction projects from Indianapolis-based sites. You will manage schedules, budgets, and client relations while coordinating with the Superintendent and Foremen to ensure timely progress and safe jobsite operations.

The role requires 4+ years in project operations/PM within commercial construction, with preferred degrees or certificates in Construction Systems Management or related fields.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of project operations/project management experience in commercial construction or equivalent field operations management
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Systems Management, Engineering, or related field is preferred
• Experience with design-build, hard bid, and negotiated projects around $5M to $50M

Responsibilities

• Mitigate and manage project risk, and elevate concerns quickly to Project Operations and Field Operations leadership
• Create and manage the full project schedule from kickoff to closeout
• Manage all project finance requirements including billings, project setup, cost control, change orders, and cost to complete
• Earn client trust through relationships, communication, collaboration and problem solving
• Chair project meetings with customers and plan progress updates and reviews
• Coordinate with departments to ensure materials are available as needed
• Provide clear leadership and guidance to all team members
• Understand project contract scope and negotiate changes as needed
• Review project documents including estimates, drawings, specs, and contracts
• Ensure timely completion of job closeout procedures
• Maintain high safety standards across the jobsite

Position: Project Manager

Reports to: Senior Project Manager

Location: Indianapolis, Indiana

Pay Range: $105,000 - $140,000

Superior is looking for a Project Manager to help drive our electrical construction projects forward. The Project Manager is responsible for managing construction projects, scheduling resources, ensuring that budgets and timelines are met, and working closely with the Superintendent and Foremen to ensure the successful progress and completion of the project. This role is based on a jobsite in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Key Responsibilities

• Mitigate and manage project risk, and elevate concerns – and solutions – quickly to Project Operations and Field Operations leadership
• Create and manage the full project schedule from project kickoff to project closeout
• Manage all project finance requirements, including billings, project setup, project buy-out, project cost control, change order management, and cost to complete
• Earn the trust of clients by cultivating relationships, communicating swiftly, collaborating, and solving challenges
• Chair project meetings including planning, progress updates, and reviews with customers
• Work with departments across the organization to ensure that project materials are available and in place as needed
• Serve as a key leader and provide clear communication and guidance to all team members
• Understand the full scope of the project contract and negotiate changes as needed
• Review all project documents including estimates, design drawings, specifications, and contracts
• Ensure the timely completion of all job closeout procedures
• Maintain a high degree of safety on our work across the jobsite

Your Expertise

• Required: You have at least 4 years of project operations/project management experience in commercial construction, or equivalent field operations management experience
• Bonus Points: You have earned a bachelor’s degree in Construction Systems Management, Engineering, or a related field; a Construction Management certificate; or have equivalent field or project experience on a commercial construction site
• Bonus Points: You have experience with design-build, hard bid, and negotiated projects around $5M to $50M
• Bonus Points: You have extensive knowledge in construction management software
• Bonus Points: You hold an active OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
