Job summary

Mackinnon Bruce International is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead delivery of large-scale, mission-critical data center facilities in Wisconsin. You will oversee site development, base building, MEP systems, and interior fit-outs, coordinating with design, engineering and operations.

You will manage schedules, budgets, QA/QC, safety, and turnover readiness, while guiding stakeholders and vendors through complex projects with a focus on on-time, within-budget delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related discipline.
• 5+ years of construction management experience.
• Experience delivering large-scale commercial/industrial/mission-critical projects.
• Base building and interior/technical fit-out experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Experience managing contractors, schedules, budgets, and change orders.
• Familiarity with Procore, Primavera P6, MS Project, and Bluebeam.
• Excellent stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to travel approximately 50%.

Responsibilities

• Lead construction activities across site development, structural systems, building envelope, MEP infrastructure, and interior fit-out.
• Manage day-to-day field operations, general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Oversee construction of data halls, electrical and mechanical rooms, offices, and HVAC distribution.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, cost tracking, change orders, and forecasting.
• Conduct regular site inspections and maintain QA/QC standards.
• Drive site safety and ensure contractors adhere to project requirements.
• Coordinate with design, engineering, operations, procurement, and commissioning teams.
• Track progress, milestones, risks, and commercial performance.
• Support construction through commissioning, handover, and operational readiness.
• Ensure compliance with building codes and permitting requirements.

A leading developer and operator of large-scale data center infrastructure is expanding its U.S. construction portfolio and is looking to appoint an experienced Construction Manager to support the delivery of complex, mission-critical facilities.

As Construction Manager, you will oversee all phases of construction, including site development, structural and base building works, MEP systems, interior build-outs, commissioning readiness, and final turnover.

You will be responsible for managing cost, schedule, quality, safety, subcontractors, and vendor relationships across large-scale construction projects incorporating both core-and-shell and technical fit-out scopes.

This opportunity would suit a construction professional who is comfortable operating in fast-paced project environments, coordinating multiple trades and stakeholders, and delivering technically complex facilities safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

Experience & Qualifications

• Experience delivering large-scale commercial, industrial, mission-critical, or technically complex construction projects
• Base building and interior/technical fit-out experience preferred
• Strong understanding of structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
• Experience managing contractors, subcontractors, schedules, budgets, and change orders
• Familiarity with construction management and scheduling platforms such as Procore, Primavera P6, MS Project, and Bluebeam
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to travel approximately 50%

Preferred Experience

• Experience managing project scopes valued above $70M
• Strong MEP, electrical, or critical infrastructure background
• Experience with Lean construction methodologies
• Exposure to sustainability and energy-efficient construction practices
