Job summary

Meylan Construction is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager for our Bay Area projects. This hands-on role focuses on managing commercial tenant improvements, coordinating field activities, and delivering projects on time and within budget.

You will work directly with customers, identify additional opportunities, and contribute to growing the company’s client base while maintaining strong relationships with property managers and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

We are an established General Contractor serving the Bay Area, specializing in commercial tenant improvements, construction projects, and ongoing building services for commercial properties.

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Construction Project Manager to join our team. This is a hands‑on opportunity for a construction professional who enjoys managing projects, working directly with customers, solving problems, and developing long‑term business relationships.

What You'll Do

• Manage commercial construction and tenant improvement projects from initial scope through completion.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, materials, schedules, and field activities.
• Visit job sites and work closely with field personnel to keep projects moving efficiently.
• Review project scopes, plans, specifications, and existing conditions.
• Prepare and review estimates, proposals, change orders, and project documentation.
• Monitor project schedules, costs, quality, and profitability.
• Communicate directly with customers throughout the project and ensure their expectations are met.
• Manage a variety of ongoing building service and repair projects for commercial customers.
• Develop scopes of work and coordinate service projects from customer request through completion.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers.
• Identify opportunities for additional construction and building service work.
• Proactively seek out new leads and business opportunities.
• Follow up on proposals, referrals, and prospective projects.
• Work closely with company management and team members to ensure projects are completed professionally and efficiently.
• Follow established company procedures and processes while contributing ideas and solutions when appropriate.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of construction industry experience preferred, although we will consider candidates with less experience who demonstrate strong potential.
• Commercial construction experience preferred.
• Field construction experience is highly desirable.
• Experience with commercial tenant improvements, renovations, or similar construction projects.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, scheduling, and project coordination.
• Experience with estimating, subcontractor coordination, and project costs.
• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Strong sales and business development abilities, with the initiative to identify and pursue new opportunities.
• Excellent communication and follow-through.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Professional, dependable, and accountable.
• Ability to work comfortably with customers, property managers, subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.

Compensation
