Job description

Construction Project Manager | NYCHA and Affordable Housing

Base pay range: $150,000.00/yr – $200,000.00/yr

Additional compensation types: Annual Bonus and Sign‑on bonus

This role demands exceptional communication, team collaboration, innovation, and leadership to foster professional growth.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the project team from Pre‑Construction through Final Close‑Out
  • Organize and manage the project to ensure safe, timely, quality, and profitable completion
  • Interpret and review designs, architectural drawings, and building specifications for appropriate constructability
  • Interface with Client, Architect, Owner Representative, Consultants, Agency & Funding Source Representatives
  • Maintain neighbor and community relations
  • Maintain thorough understanding of company and Owner Contract agreements and deliverables
  • Review and manage subcontracts, bid documents, and proposals
  • Write subcontractor scopes of work for all trades
  • Verify and approve issuance of change orders and contractor invoices for payment
  • Verify and approve all vendor invoices
  • Complete all punch list items
  • Manage all project documentation
  • Control project budget
  • Create, maintain and execute the project schedule
  • Lead and organize MEP coordination process
  • Maintain client satisfaction and alignment to client standards
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient reading of architectural plans and specifications
  • Proactive with strong problem‑solving skills
  • Professional with all trades, architects, and clients
  • Effective issue resolution in a timely manner
  • AutoCAD experience preferred
  • Procore experience preferred
  • Experience in construction planning and management: estimating, bidding, purchase orders, subcontracts, scheduling, cost control
  • Ability to prepare and submit technical and cost proposals
  • Strong people skills with Owner, Financing, and Design teams
  • Maintain relationships with Subcontractors and Consultants on and off the job site
  • Active participant of the culture
  • Minimum 5 years in the construction industry
