Qualifications

  • Bachelor's in Civil Engineering or Construction Management with 5+ years of PM experience.
  • P.E. license preferred or PM experience in civil and foundations construction.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication with stakeholders.
  • Experience with estimating and cost-tracking software.

Responsibilities

  • Understand terms and scope of the construction contract.
  • Track material, production, and project costs.
  • Quality control and adherence to specifications.
  • Negotiate with Owner and federal/local agencies.
  • Attend construction meetings to support project-related functions.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage staff.
  • Material and subcontract negotiations and purchasing.
  • Promote safety and support all applicable HSE programs.

Seeking a Construction Project Manager opportunity with a well-established company in Madison, Wisconsin.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering and 5+ years of project management experience. Candidates with additional relevant experience in lieu of a degree will also be considered.

Schedule:

Day-shift Monday-Friday, typically 45 hours/week

Compensation:

$110,000-$130,000+ (higher salary considered based on experience and qualifications)

Job Summary:

This position will provide project management for all aspects of civil and foundation construction. This position will have some local and regional travel.

Responsibilities:
  • Understand the terms and scope of the construction contract
  • Track material, production, and project costs

  • Corresponding and negotiating with the Owner and Fed/Local Agencies
  • Attend construction related meetings to support project related functions
  • Leading, mentoring and managing staff

  • Promote safety – assist with the implementation of all applicable HSE programs, policies and procedures
Qualifications:
  • B.S in Civil Engineering with 5+ years of experience
  • P.E. and/or project management experience in civil and foundations construction preferred

  • Ability to successfully negotiate terms and conditions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Computer software proficient, specifically with estimating and job cost tracking software
